Mystic Seaport, 2009. (That's me, in the hat, on the left.)
EMILY is a playwright, performer, "Mary-Tyler Moore Show" enthusiast, and occasional puppeteer . She holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College. Emily spent three summers (2008-2010) writing and performing historical theatre at Mystic Seaport, in CT; as a result she knows a heck of a lot about the 19th Century Whaling industry... ASK HER ABOUT IT. In New York, Emily’s own work has been developed with her writers' group and with INTAR's Intaristas. She has performed at places such as St. Ann's Warehouse, Dixon Place, and Theatre for the New City. You may also find her studying and performing improv comedy with The Magnet Theater. Originally from Old Lyme, Connecticut, Emily now resides in Brooklyn, where she trips and falls down a lot. She’s gonna make it after all (throws hat up in the air!!).
