Please join us on September 23rd, 2012 between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM at the gorgeous Freshkills Park in Staten Island!  Runner Emma Wiseman, along with several other NY based artists, has been invited by the New York City Parks Department to participate in "Sneak Peak at Freshkills Park".  This free annual event is the only opportunity for the public at large to have access to this incredible place, which won't be fully completed for another 25 years.  We will be hosting a musical puppet parade, plus an activity table where attendees can create musical instruments and join in the fun!  Check out the Freshkills website for more info.  We hope to see you there!

We are so excited to again be involved in the Puppet Lab at St. Ann's Warehouse!  Please join us for a production of "THE RADIUM PLAY" by Emma Wiseman, to be performed as part of LABAPALOOZA!  Featuring Runner Emily Zemba as well as Aaron Matteson, Dan ONeil, and Renata Melillo, with sound design by Jamie Agnello, The Radium Play is inspired by the story of the Radium Girls, factory workers in the '20s and '30s who worked with radium-infused paint and ended up with glowing hands and hair, but also fatal radium poisoning.  The show is about two scientists in the present day who have managed to extract one of these Radium Girls from the past for the purpose of observation and the good of all mankind.
The Radium Play is part of Program A and will be performed at 8PM on May 31st and June 2nd, and 2PM on June 3rd.  Tickets can be purchased here, and there is a discounted ticket price if you go to see Program B as well!
Hope to see you there!
Love,
You Can Really Run

With a successful run of Maggie Robinson's rendition of The Bedbug behind us, we're excitedly looking forward to the upcoming Labapalooza! featuring the puppetry and directing talents of Emma Wiseman!  Be sure to mark the dates in your calendar (May 31-June 3), and we'll keep updating as the time approaches.

In other news, we're all very proud and excited that our own runner, Emily Zemba, will be starting her playwriting MFA career at the Yale School of Drama this fall.  Emily will be dearly missed as she embarks on this noble pursuit, but we're confident that we'll find many ways to keep her in the loop!
